About the Northwest Montana SCORE Chapter
The Northwest Montana Chapter of SCORE was formed in 1978 as Chapter 277.  Today, we are an active chapter of 17 experienced, volunteer business counselors.  We provide business guidance and counseling to entrepreneurs in Flathead, Lake, Lincoln, and Sanders Counties.  Our counselors are experienced business owners and managers with skills and knowledge to assist small business owners and future business owners achieve success in their business ventures.

Client service is our objective at Northwest Montana SCORE.  Our business counselors are dedicated to provide the best possible service through face-to-face and telephone counseling.  Our counselors will provide you with in-depth, industry-specific business assistance to help evaluate a business idea or plan, stimulate business growth, and ensure long-term stability.

The Northwest Montana Chapter 17 volunteers have a wide array of talents to assist you in your business planning, evaluation, and execution.  Business backgrounds include accounting, finance, banking, marketing, management, real estate, small to large business ownership, law, and business plan preparation – just to name a few!  Our Chapter also offers business-oriented workshops throughout the year with some of our resource partners, such as the Flathead Valley Community College and the Small Business Development Center.  Contact us or our resource partners for course topics and dates.

Our Chapter does not maintain regular office hours, we counsel by appointment only, so to request a counseling session, please contact us either by phone at (406) 756-5271, or email , or by completing a Request for Counseling Form.  Our initial counseling sessions are scheduled for Friday afternoons, with one-hour counseling sessions at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.  Counseling is by appointment only, so please using one of the above methods.
